A little about the teacher.....

I was born and raised in New Brunswick, Canada. I started taking piano lessons in Grade 5...which was something I had begged to do for a couple years. Within five years I completed my Grade 8 Royal Conservatory of Music and Grade two theory. I started teaching in High School and was sad to say goodbye to my students when I left for Texas to attend University. Since then I've gotten two degrees (Psychology, Mass Communications) met and married my wonderful hubby, worked for several years in "Corporate America" had two adorable girlies, traded my job to become a "stay at home momma" and now here I am back to what I've always thought I would do. Teaching piano. I hope to create a warm, inviting, educational, yet fun environment in my studio. I want each kid to leave wanting to learn more and wanting to go home and practice...and that can be a big challenge!! Let the fun begin!!!

OH YES....About the Name....why SOMAD??

I have two daugthers, Madeline and Sophie. I wanted to combine their names for another little hobby/business ( www.somadforme.com) and came up with SoMad. I tend to call Sophie...So...and Madeline gets Mad alot. So hence SoMad was formed.
